Michelle Tinajero Signs With St. Peter's

During Michelle Tinajero's pursuit of a college, she developed a fondness for the East Coast. Attending a school near New York was near the top of her list for consideration.

So, the Elmwood Park senior will be playing softball not far from the bright lights of Broadway when she attends St. Peter's College in Jersey City, N.J. next fall. At a news conference attended by her family, her high school coach Erica Hanrahan and several of her teammates, Tinajero signed a national letter of intent to attend the NCAA Division I school and play softball for the Peahens. The senior catcher/shortstop will play for second-year coach Donna Barone.

Michelle is a shortstop from Elmwood Park (IL) and is a multi sport athlete at Elmwood Park High.

This girl is amazing! I have been following her career for years and am more than pleased to see her come as far as she has. Being recruited to play DI softball for a presitgious university is every athlete's dream. Michelle Tinajero has surpassed anyone's expectations (which were already set high). I cannot wait to continue following her softball career for years to come. She is someone to look out for.
