MAAC Players---Teresa Healy, Niagara

Niagara's Teresa Healy is one of the most feared players in the MAAC, a difference maker who can change a game with one swing of the bat. I saw Teresa bring the Purple Eagles back from the dead after falling behind to Marist 8-0. Four RBIs and a homer later Niagara won 12-10. A loss probably would have kept them out of the MAAC Tournament.

The junior second baseman was named to the All-MAAC First Team her first two seasons and the All-Tournament First Team twice as well. She hit .346 in 2009, with 11 homers; .385 in Conference play. She hit .366 her freshman season.

Teresa is from Las Vegas, where she starred for Centennial High. Her sister Tory previously had a very successful career with Niagara.

Teresa will terrorize MAAC pitchers for the next two years.

very interesting year in the MAAC for 2010 - some great, exciting players to watch - Healy is certainly one of them
