Lauren Liseth's 5 RBIs propelled Fairfield to a doubleheader sweep of Rhode Island Sunday afternoon in Kingston, RI.

The Stags took a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning of game one thanks to a Lauren Liseth RBI double and a 2 run homer off the bat of Kristina Lingo. Kristen Filicia doubled home a run in the 6th, and Lauren Liseth's solo homer in the 7th gave Fairfield the 5-2 win. Kelli Panter earned the complete game win, allowing only one earned run while striking out 3. Game two was all Fairfield, who exploded for 8 runs in the final 3 innings of the run rule victory. Lauren Liseth and Kristina Lingo drove home 3 runs each; Ali Wigand also had a RBI. Rae Ball pitched a 5 inning one hitter to raise her record to 3-2. Kristina Lingo and Lauren Liseth both had 5 RBIs on the day; Kristen Filicia hit 3 for 4 and scored 3 runs. The Stags improved their record to 13-13, and will next play Tuesday when they host Columbia for a doubleheader.

Rhode Island is having a rough year and I think part of it may be due to the loss of assistant coach Meghan Asselta
