The Niagara Purple Eagles won their 7th consecutive game with a doubleheader sweep of Cleveland State Thursday in Niagara Falls, NY.

Kim scattered 5 hits, struck out 7 and walked no one to earn the shutout win, her 7th of the season. She has now lowered her ERA to 2.01. Teresa Healy got the Purple Eagles on the board in the 3rd inning with an RBI double that scored Maggie McDonald; in the 5th inning she doubled home 2 more runs. Becky Zill followed that with a single that scored Teresa.

The Purple Eagles jumped on Cleveland State in the 1st inning of game two with 4 runs. After a Maggie McDonald double and Kristin Sito single, Teresa Healy crushed a pitch over the left field fence for her MAAC leading 10th home run. She was followed by Becky Zill, who launched a homer over the center field fence, and Niagara was up 4-0. Becky Zill singled home another run in the 3rd inning, which was the eventual winner. Julie DiMatteo picked up her 3rd win in a week, with Bri Allen earning a save for closing out the final two innings.

Teresa Healy has now increased her average to a remarkable .500, which is not only the best in the MAAC, but 5th best in the whole nation. Niagara continues MAAC play when they visit Iona Saturday.
