Kyrsten Van Natta Commits To Marist
Kyrsten Van Natta of Maplewood, NJ has verbally committed to play softball at Marist College beginning in the 2013 season.
Kyrsten is a shortstop at Columbia High School where she was named All-Essex County after having a fabulous junior season. She hit .488 in 2011, including 7 doubles, 4 triples, and 4 homers in only 82 at bats. She finished with a lofty .817 slugging percentage, and used her speed to steal 22 bases. As impressive as her offensive numbers are, she may be an even better defensive player. Her high school coach calls her the most agile player he has ever seen; a smooth fielding shortstop who covers a tremendous amount of ground and has a lightning quick release. He believes she's the top shortstop in New Jersey. She plays travel ball with the North Jersey Rangers.
