The Fairfield Stags jumped back into first place with a pair of wins Monday at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, FL.

After a layoff which included a rain canceled Sunday, Fairfield finally got back on the field today with a couple of solid wins. Against Columbia, the Stags got on the board in the top of the first inning with Ali Wigand and Rae Ball RBIs. Columbia scored their only run in the bottom of the same inning, but would get no closer as Fairfield starter Becca Trott would allow only one hit over the final six innings. The Stags added a run in the fourth inning when Brianna Levick singled home Sammy Ruffolo. Lauren Liseth's RBI single in the seventh inning gave the Stags a 4-1 win. Fairfield had ten hits in the game, with Lauren, Sammy and Kristen Filicia all hitting safely twice. The Stags stole six bases in the game.

Fairfield shutout Army in their second game of the day, 7-0. No details as of yet.
