MAAC Saturday

Julie DiMatteo strikes out 13 for Niagara

Elsewhere in the MAAC this Saturday...

Niagara completed a two game sweep in Baltimore with a 6-1 win over Coppin State. Julie DiMatteo went the distance, allowing only three hits while striking out a baker's dozen. Ambur Farmer and Alexis Wayne were both 3 for 4 in this game; Gabrielle Lustrinelli drove home a pair of runs.

Marist split a pair of games in Hawai'i, defeating Robert Morris 7-6 and losing to Radford 5-1. In the game against RMU, Nicole DiVirgilio and Haley Birnbaum each drove home a pair of runs. Emily Osterhaus got the win, allowing only two earned runs. Nicole homered in the game against Radford.

Manhattan is still looking for win number one after dropping two games at the Rebel Spring Games, 3-0 to Holy Cross and 4-1 to Utah Valley. Amy Bright struck out six in the game against Holy Cross.
