100 RBIs For Shannon Jones

Third Saint to reach century mark

In game one of Siena's doubleheader with Sacred Heart at Loudonville Tuesday, Shannon Jones hit a triple which resulted in her career 100th RBI, becoming only the third Siena Saint to reach that milestone. Not bad for a player in the middle of her junior season. Shannon drove home two more on the day, and is chasing the Siena record of 119 held by Jennifer Granato. Plenty of games left this season for her to accomplish that feat. Shannon is currently 60 RBIs behind the MAAC career RBI record, jointly held by Manhattan's Danielle Yearick and Rider's Deanna Dovak. She has a realistic shot at that record. This season, she leads the MAAC in hitting, home runs and RBIs.

Siena split their games with Sacred Heart Tuesday, and will open conference play Saturday at Canisius.
