Should be interesting to see what coach hanover has done so far with her team. looking forward to watching them play this weekend

My daughter is a freshman on the team..... she said on a scale of 1 to 10 so far her experience at Niagara & with the softball team has been a 10! It will be hard to pass judgement during the fall season after only a few weeks of work but the future looks bright.

I think that when spring arrives Niagara will be earning the respect of the MAAC conference.

Good luck to the Coaches & the Players!!!

Just wondering has Niagara Softball released any info. on how the team & players did this weekend at the Nan Harvey Classic?

Not yet. At least their website has been better this season so far. Fall Ball can be somewhat casual; the Nan Harvey didn't even use scoreboards.
Alexis Wayne hit a beautiful triple against Canisius, and scored the walk off winner when Desarae Maldonado drove her home.

the website definitely has been better this year. saw both hits from both girls. wayne, hit a nice triple, perfect timing. but i thought maldonados hit was going over the fence. what a rocket that was. team looks good so far.

I was able to see all 4 of Niagara's games. I think that they have a solid core of players and a coaching staff that looks like the real deal!
Kim Bryson definitely is a solid pitcher & dominated the other teams batters. Jen Sensano has all the pitches & will only get better once she settles in. The freshmen pitchers got a taste of D1 competition & will need to improve but they did show promise & composure.
I was impressed with Ambur Farmer's speed on the base paths. Des Maldonado is a solid player who had a timely walk-off hit against Canisius, Alexis Wayne is also a presence on the field. The freshman first baseman Becca (not sure of her last name)played
outstanding defense & probably saved 1-2 runs against Canisius & also had 3-4 hits. At third base Gabby has lightning quick reactions & puts the bat on the ball. Overall I think that the MAAC will have another team in Niagara contending for a title.
