Manhattan And Marist Open Seasons This Weekend

Dani Kolz was named co-captain of Marist, along with Emily Osterhaus. The Red Foxes open their season on Saturday.
The final two teams to begin their season get into action this weekend. Manhattan was originally scheduled to begin play last week, but weather issues forced them to cancel. They have added three games to their schedule, and will travel south to play a single game at Liberty on Saturday, and a doubleheader at Elon on Sunday.

Marist will open their season on Saturday when they begin play at the Spartan Classic hosted by Norfolk State. Aside from playing the host school, the Red Foxes will also meet Delaware and Army.

Elsewhere in the MAAC this weekend, Niagara is headed to Florida, and will play a doubleheader at Stetson on Friday. They will then play a doubleheader at Bethune-Cookman on Sunday. Iona will be at the Towson Invitational, with games against the host Tigers, Columbia and Lehigh. Rider will get back into the swing of things at the Patriot Classic, where they will play host George Mason, Cornell and Rutgers. St. Peter's will be on the field at the Retriever Classic, and will play host Maryland-Baltimore County, Coppin State and St. Francis.

Fairfield is playing this weekend in the Citrus Classic in Orlando. Looks like no stats are available for the 3:30 game vs. Temple.

Thanks! Odd, that was not on their schedule last time I checked. And it's not on the MAAC master schedule.
