The North Carolina A&T tournament is on for Sunday and Monday. Manhattan has dropped out; Canisius will play. St. Peter's will play three games on Saturday.
Some bad weather in the North Carolina area has put a crimp in some MAAC teams' plans.
Manhattan will not open this weekend, canceling their games at the North Carolina A&T tournament. Canisius was scheduled to play in the same tournament, and indicated earlier today that they would be playing on Sunday and Monday, but perhaps that has changed also. No word yet.
Iona is in Chapel Hill, NC to play in UNC's tournament, which began a day early because of weather. The Gaels have not played yet. They will try to play Friday if possible, but there may be...snow (!) in the forecast. [UPDATE: Iona just announced that their Friday games will be played later in the day] And Saturday looks bad. Sunday looks good though, so there may be rescheduling there.
St. Peter's is in Elon, NC for that school's tournament. The Friday games have been moved to Saturday, and the Peahens may (or may not) be playing a tripleheader. Still up in the air.
Fairfield is in Greenville, NC. East Carolina announced earlier today a rescheduling. Lehigh has dropped out, so the Stags will play four games instead of five...weather permitting. They will try to go Friday morning
It's not all bad news. this major weather system is currently passing through Chattanooga, TN, where Niagara will open play Friday. They should be clear to get all their games in. As should Siena, who are also in Tennessee.
I will update the weather information as necessary.
