Bomb Threat At UTEP

Siena's scheduled doubleheader today at UTEP was postponed after the university received a bomb threat:

The University of Texas at El Paso was evacuated because of a bomb threat.
A text message was sent to students and faculty at 2 p.m. that said: "The university has a bomb threat please evacuate the university campus."
UTEP Police Chief Cliff Walsh said an investigation was launched into the bomb threat that led to the evacuation of the campus.
Walsh (said) the school received a threat in a telephone call, which led to the evacuation of an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 students, faculty and staff. Walsh would not say what the threat was about and if police had found any items linked to the threat on campus.


Late word:
Although the university has been shut down, it appears the Saints and UTEP will play a single game tonight at 9 pm EDT.The two teams will play a doubleheader on Wednesday.
