Carly Argyle Tosses Shutout

"Gnarly" Carly threw first career shutout in win
Iona 1
Columbia 0

Just in...
Carly Argyle pitched a complete game shutout, the first of her college career, in Iona's 1-0 win over Columbia Friday in Towson, MD.
Carly was in lock down mode the whole game, not allowing a Columbia runner past second base while scattering three singles. She struck out eight batters in the game. The Gaels got the only run they would need in the first inning when Beth Kann singled home Ali Hand, who had doubled.

The Gaels will continue play at the Towson Invitational Saturday with games against Lehigh and the host Tigers.
