|Emily showed outstanding control in win over Army|
Rebounding from a tough outing vs. Ball State last weekend, Marist senior Emily Osterhaus was on top of her game today in West Point, NY, defeating Army 1-0 in an 11 inning game. Emily was in almost perfect control, walking only one batter while scattering six hits. She struck out four Black Knights in the game. This one was a classic pitchers duel until the top of the 11th inning when freshman Nicole Cheek crushed a pitch over the center field fence for the win. It was Nicole's sixth home run of the season, tied for tops in the MAAC. Alyssa Zahka and Maureen Duddy each had two hits. The Red Foxes lost game two of the doubleheader 3-0, and will be off until next Thursday when they travel to Hofstra for a doubleheader.
