Moriah Harris of East Amherst, NY has verbally committed to play softball at Canisius College beginning in the 2015 season.
Moriah Harris is the third baseman for the New York State champion Clarence High Red Devils where she was a teammate of current Golden Griffin Tori Nappo. Moriah had a fabulous sophomore season at Clarence, hitting for the second highest average in school history (.531). She also hit five homers and three triples while driving home 26 runs in 24 games. But she saved her best for the Red Devils' historic playoff run to the state title. In the Section 6 championship game, Moriah went 3 for 3 in the win over Niagara Falls...all the hits being consecutive home runs, the first player in school history to do that. She hit another homer in the Far West Regional win over Fairport. In a tight championship game against Cicero, Moriah drove home the winning run in the 6th inning to give Clarence their first State title in any sport. She enters her final two years of high school softball as one of the top players in the area.
Moriah currently plays travel ball with the TC Tremors where she is teammates with future Griff Lindsey Silfer, and has also played with the Diamond Girls.
