|Lauren Liseth carries her hot streak to a new week|
The Fairfield Stags completed a Friday sweep at the Citrus Classic in Orlando, FL with a 3-2 decision over the Longwood Lancers.
Lauren Liseth continued her torrid hitting Friday evening, and it cost Longwood dearly. The Lancers were cruising along with a 2-0 lead going into the sixth inning, having held Fairfield to two singles, when lightning struck them. That lightning came in the form of Lauren Liseth's home run blast, which immediately followed singles by Tiffany Lawson and Kristen Filicia and gave the Stags a 3-2 win. It was Lauren's fifth homer of the young season, and RBIs 12, 13 and 14. Kristen herself finished the game hitting 2 for 3. In the circle for the Stags was Rae Ball, who although she allowed 10 hits, held Longwood within Lauren's firing range. She struck out five Lancers.
Fairfield will play a pair of games, against Georgetown and Maryland, Saturday in Orlando.
