The MAAC Is Back This Weekend

Canisius Coach Mike Rappl is two wins away from 800 for his career
The MAAC is back in full swing this weekend with a couple of tournaments and even some home games.

Starting the weekend early will be Niagara, who are at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, FL. The Purple Eagles play Holy Cross and Sacred heart later today; Friday they will face off against St. Francis and Tennessee-Martin.

Siena and Canisius will both take part in the Lady Pirates Classic in Hampton, VA, but will not meet on the field. The Saints and Golden Griffins will be matched against Central Connecticut State, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Delaware and host Hampton. Canisius Head Coach Mike Rappl could reach the 800 career win milestone during this tournament.

Marist will travel to Baltimore to participate in the Dawg Pound Invitational. The weather down there wasn't so great during the middle of the week, but it looks to be clear for the weekend. The Red Foxes will be playing George Washington, Howard, Mount Saint Mary's, Rhode Island and host UMBC.
Weather issues have forced a readjustment. Marist will now play on Sunday and Monday vs. Coppin St., Howard and Rhode Island (twice).

Rider and Manhattan will both be opening their home schedules, weather permitting. The Broncs will host Columbia on Saturday for a doubleheader. On Sunday, the Lady Jaspers will play two against Hartford at Gaelic Park.

Monday will see some MAAC teams begin play in Florida and California. Stay tuned for updates!
