Larry Puzan Is In As Coach Of Niagara

The Niagara Purple Eagles will promote Larry Puzan to the position of head coach of their softball program for the 2014 season.

The long time pitching coach filled in as an interim coach during the 2013 season, leading Niagara to the MAAC tournament for the first time since 2010. After a 1-5 start, the Purple Eagles went on an 8-2 run to qualify for the post season. Under his guidance, Jen Sansano was named the conference's Pitcher Of The Year. Coach Puzan will retain his staff of assistants, which include Felicia Coffey Kinney and Joel Patterson.

Congratulations Coach Puzan!

This Purple Eagle Softball family is thrilled. We are excited to have a person of such high character get the job. Wins & losses do matter but having Coach Puzan be an influence both on & off the field in our daughters & her Purple Eagle softball teammates lives is comforting.

We wish you, your coaching staff & the team the best of luck! Go Purp.!!!
