Quinnipiac 1
Manhattan 0 (Suspended, 4th inning)

The Manhattan Lady Jaspers continued their hot streak with a 6-1 conference win over Quinnipiac Saturday in Riverdale, NY. Quinnipiac, playing their first MAAC games ever, lead game two 1-0 in the 4th inning. The game was suspended due to heavy rain, and will be rescheduled if it has tournament implications.

Manhattan jumped out to a 4-0 lead in game one, scoring twice in each of the first two innings. In the first inning, consecutive doubles by Katie Bowen and Elena Bowman scored the game's first run. A bases loaded walk then gave the LJs a 2-0 lead. In the second inning, RBI singles by Amanda Paxson and MAAC rookie of the week Jenn Vazquez upped the Manhattan lead to 4-0. Quinnipiac responded with a run in the top of the third inning when Dani Edmands singled home a run to make the score 4-1. But Elena Bowman's two RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning, giving her three RBIs for the game, sealed a 6-1 Manhattan win.

Katie Bowen had three hits in the game, and struck out seven Bobcats to earn the win. Sydney Robey suffered the loss for Quinnipiac. In the second game, Quinnipiac's Jordan Paolucci hit a home run to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead, but the game was called in the 4th inning due to the rain.
