Alisha Marshall Commits To Fairfield

Alisha Marshall of Selma, California has verbally committed to play softball at Fairfield University beginning in the 2016 season.

Alisha Marshall is a shortstop at Selma high school, where she has been a career .400 hitter entering her senior season. Alisha has been the leadoff hitter for Selma, and is a high run producer and a slap hitter who has shown the ability with her speed to hit for extra base; she is also an accomplished base stealer. Her coach calls her a "fierce competitor" and outstanding defensive player. Alisha plays travel ball for the Fresno Force.

Madison Aston Commits To Canisius

It's that time of year again. With the early NLI signing period quickly approaching, MAAC schools will be receiving a slew of commitments.

Madison Aston of Amherst, NY has verbally committed to Canisius College to play softball beginning in the 2016 season. Maddie is a very skilled catcher, with a strong arm and quick release. She's very agile behind the plate, and rarely makes mistakes, committing only two errors in her last two seasons. She's a strong hitter, raising her average from .358 her sophomore season to .500 her junior season at Amherst Central High School. She's also a good base runner, a perfect 14 for 14 stolen bases during her career. Maddie plays travel ball with the WNY Rally.
