Bridget Hogan began to notice a problem with her hip late last season, but apparently it did not slow down her production, which earned her conference honors. She hit .313 last season, including three home runs. In conference play, she ranked seventh in the MAAC with a .410 average. But she finished the season hobbling, and this week had surgery to correct a bone spur and labrum tear. She is expected to make a full recovery, but will be out 4-6 months rehabilitating. She will return with three years of eligibility remaining.
Speedy recovery Bridget!

In fact, her career ERA currently stands at a paltry 0.99! She is a high strikeout pitcher, and not bad at the plate either, hitting .356 her junior season with three home runs.

Although a native of Texas, Sydney Dennis has played travel ball with the New Jersey Intensity, and the Bobcats took notice of the speedy outfielder. |Another homer for Rebecca!|
A big signing coming up for the Bobcats as they land All-American pitcher/third baseman Rebecca Drake of Donovan Catholic High School. Rebecca is the epitome of the all around player...where to begin? Well, she hit an astounding .550 in 2014, with an astronomical slugging percentage of 1.083. She averaged over an RBI per game, and had an on base percentage of .640. She can hit for average, or power. She has speed, stealing a perfect 9 for 9 bases, and is also a high run producer. But that's not all...she's also a lockdown pitcher! In 2014, Rebecca posted a circle record of 10-1, with a miniscule ERA of 0.68. Opposing batters hit a measly .128 against her; she struck out an average of 7 batters per game. She rarely walks anyone. She'll be playing lots at QU! Rebecca plays her travel ball with the Jersey Intensity.

This is a big signing coming up for the Lady Jaspers. Stephanie Kristo is a pitcher for the renowned high school softball program at Archbishop Mitty in San Jose. The Monarchs were CIF Central Coast Section champions in 2014; and were ranked #3 in the entire nation. Stephanie had a fabulous junior season in the circle for Mitty, posting a 15-1 record to go along with a stingy 1.18 ERA. Her opponents batted only .194 against her. Included in her 15 wins were seven shutouts. Stephanie is a great control pitcher, walking only two batters per game. For the whole '14 season, she threw no wild pitches, and hit only one batter. She plays travel ball with the San Jose Lady Sharks, with whom she has pitched in many national tournaments. This is the sort of signing that could tilt the balance of power in the MAAC for years to come.
