The Siena Saints will open their 58 game 2017 softball season on the weekend of February 17 vs. UMass at the annual Eastern Michigan Invitational in Madeira Beach, Florida. They will also play Central Michigan, Robert Morris, UAB and the host team in this opening tournament. Immediately following, the Saints will jet out to the west coast and play single games at San Diego St. on February 21, and Riverside the next day. After that it's the Amy Harrison Classic at Riverside the weekend of February 24 with Utah St., UTEP and the host Highlanders as the competition. After some time off, Siena will travel to Wilmington, NC for a five game tournament.
The Saints will open the home portion of their schedule on March 21 when they host the Hartford Hawks for a doubleheader. After a four game set at UMBC, and a doubleheader at crosstown rival Albany, Siena will open MAAC play at Saint Peter's on April 1. They close out the regular season at conference rival Niagara on May 6. The Saints will play 10 home dates in 2017. This includes a doubleheader visit by Syracuse on April 19.
